Ok, so I might be a few days late but it’s still vacation for me and I’ve been making a effort to take time off from the computer (with only limited success).
Just wanted to wish everyone happy new years. For me 2009 was one crazy year and I can’t even begin to imagine what 2010 has in store – yet I am both optimistic and excited.
A new year means new goals and new resolutions. One of them being to post more often.
Again, hope everyone had a great Christmas and I wish yall the best of luck in 2010.

The new year is right around the corner, and with that brings new resolutions!
I’m a full believer in new years resolutions. The new year gives me a “fresh start” feeling and a clean slate. By the time the clock hits midnight I usually have a neatly compiled list of things I’m going to strive for in the new year. Unfortunately, my track record with following through is not as impressive.
Project52 is one of the points that will be on my 2010 list. What is Project52?
Project52 is a personal challenge geared toward getting fresh content on your website. The goal is to write at least 1 new article per week for 1 year. Because we all know what it‘s like to procrastinate on our content. A website is not just a fresh design that can be uploaded to the web and forgotten about!
With Twitter, Facebook, forums, and other forms of media I’ve never been one to be good about posting content on a consistent basis. I’ll do my best to fix that in 2010.

Today is the day were we all take time to honor all of the veterans of this great country.
I have friends in all areas of the service – Army, Navy, Air Force, National Guard – so it means a lot to me.
To all the veterans out there and those currently serving, thank you. Words cannot describe the respect and gratitude I have for y’all.

The flag in our front yard today.
Gig ‘em, God Bless, and stay safe.

A few quick note about this blog.
- I have not tested this patched-together-theme in anything other than Firefox 3.5 Mac. I sincerely hope most people reading this are not on IE and if the design looks good in FF 3.5 it should look good in most other non IE browsers.
- The comments have not been tested or restyled. I honestly have no idea why they look like. If people start leaving comments and they are fugly, well then I will restyle them.
- I have edited the RSS feed to exclude my Quick Bits posts. Eventually I’d like to create 3 seperate RSS feeds; one for posts, one for quick bits, and one for both. For now I’m leaving out quick bits since they don’t have much substance. You can follow me on twitter and get the same stuff. The Quick Bits section may or may not be permanent (giving it a try).
- One day I will get around to making my own swank theme from scratch. Right now I’m tied up making themes for clients. Until then I like this minimalistic theme. There is an art to washing forks.
That is all.
Updated: I pulled the quick bits for now. I really would like to figure out a way to integrate Tumblr, but no time for that now. The comments look fine, however they are single level only – no replies. Still no word on how things are in IE, but I can sleep with that.
